FOLIO / SPECIFICATION / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Quantity context

A shortlist count is not a commercial quantity.

Quantity discussions need an object identity, a unit, an intended purpose and the actual provider’s commercial context. A count of selected records is only the number of identities in a local shortlist. It does not establish order quantity, package count, MOQ, stock or a supplied set. Keep those meanings separate so a convenient screen count is not copied into a commercial request.

For a specification conversation, name whether the question concerns a sample, an individual item, a proposed grouping or another defined scope. Ask which actual source supplies the relevant quantity unit. A screen fragment and a cap profile cannot be added together as though they represented the same unit. Record unresolved scope rather than converting the appearance into a quantity schedule.

Before taking a bundle to the responsible provider, connect each quantity question with its item and current source. Changed scope may require the unit or purpose to be reviewed again. The blank worksheet leaves all commercial values unanswered. This demonstration gives no price, MOQ, stock availability, production quantity or delivery promise.

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
