FOLIOSPECIFICATION / DEMO

FOLIO / SPECIFICATION / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Comparison notes

Choose the comparison question before choosing a winner.

A useful comparison states the topic and the source for each attribute. A screen, cap and corner may be discussed together because their records need coordination, not because they are interchangeable. Name whether the conversation concerns appearance, sample correspondence, counterpart scope or another question. Keep those topics distinct so the shortlist does not turn into an unsupported ranking.

For each identity, record the actual source and the unresolved attribute. A missing value should remain open. Do not fill it with a value from a similar-looking object or another issue. The specification desk compares recorded identities and source states only. Its grid and ledger views show the same records, and the visual transition does not introduce another product.

Before preparing a brief, explain why the records belong in the same conversation and which provider or reviewer can answer the open comparison questions. A local selection is preparation, not an approved substitution or project specification. Carry the source questions with the chosen order and return to the individual dossiers when the applicable scope differs.

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
