SOLAR BALANCE OF SYSTEM / FICTIONAL RANGE

The module is the easy part. This is the rest of it.

VOLTARRAY is a fictional solar balance-of-system range covering battery enclosures, cable tray and inverter mounting. The site is organised around heat, separation and stand-off: the parts that decide whether a system runs at its rating or quietly below it.

A vented battery enclosure in dark grey, a perforated cable tray run, and an inverter bracket standing off a surface.
Original 3D render · fictional appearance concept

Three parts, three ways a system derates.

Each part in this range is decided by something that does not appear on a load table, and each failure is quiet rather than sudden.

What a datasheet cannot decide.

Four things that belong to the installation rather than to the component.

Where the heat goes
Because an enclosure in a plant room and one in the sun are different problems
What runs alongside
Because separation is a property of the run, not of the tray
What else the bracket carries
Because cable and conduit are load the drawing may not show
Who maintains it
Because a filter nobody changes is a filter that is not there
