VOLTARRAYBalance of system / demo

DEMO — fictional range. Local brief only, NOT SENT. No personal data is collected or transmitted.

DOCUMENTS

What travels with a batch.

A balance-of-system order arrives with paperwork or it arrives as a pallet of steel. These are the documents worth asking for, and what each one establishes.

Material certificate
Steel grade and coating weight, traceable to the batch
Coating certificate
Microns or grams per square metre, because that is the corrosion life
Thermal calculation
The ambient assumed, the vent area and who signed it
Load calculation
Cable fill, wind case and support centres
Continuity specification
Where bonding is required and how it is achieved
Torque specification
Per connection type, for the installer to work to
Continuity record
Measured at installation, because it cannot be seen afterwards
Revision statement
Which revision the batch was made to, and its calculation

An illustrative list for a fictional range. A real programme agrees which documents are required, in what form, and how long they are retained.

The one that is most often missing.

The continuity record. Bonding through coated parts cannot be verified by looking, it is measured once at installation, and it is the first thing asked for after an insulation fault.

Why the coating weight matters more than the finish name.

Because two galvanised parts with the same description have different lives. The coating weight is the number that predicts it, and a name is not a number.
