A change note names the actual tool or member, the previous issue and the proposed difference. Keep the source that describes the change with its identifier and date. A stable collection name does not prove that contents, frame or member scope stayed the same. Preserve earlier records as labelled history.
Ask which specimen, proposed-kit or packing relationship is affected. One revised caddy should not silently relabel the trolley and brush sources. The local workspace demonstrates independent state: a changed fictional issue reopens only that identity’s noted source. Discussion order and other item records remain separate from the change.
Before handoff, distinguish the proposed difference from a responsible response. Local noted and stale labels are preparation, not acceptance or a completed review. Carry the current source, affected correspondence and unresolved question to the next reader. A useful change note makes the relationship traceable while leaving missing evidence visibly open.
