THE LAYER ATLAS

See what changes.

Choose a layer to connect a visual decision with a component question. The schematic is explanatory, not a CAD model.

01

Access is the design brief.

The full perimeter opening makes a useful discussion about packing a bag on a bed or work surface. It also raises questions about zip path, hinge flexibility and where loose modules move during carrying. The sample brief should specify the sequence of access, not only a pocket count.

02

Fit the real object.

A laptop screen diagonal does not define the laptop sleeve size. Measure the actual device with its protective case, record cable and charger access, and check the opening as well as the pocket. No device compatibility is claimed by this study.

03

Try the harness under a representative load.

The shape in the image is only a visual proposal. Shoulder geometry, back contact, foam recovery and strap adjustment need a physical fit review. Compare the packed and empty silhouettes so the sample team can separate appearance issues from support issues.

THE FIRST SAMPLE REVIEW

Three questions
to take forward.

Use these as discussion prompts. The actual pass criteria and testing method must be agreed for your product and destination market.

Read the evidence approach
  1. What is the actual device envelope, including its case?
  2. Does the harness remain comfortable with the intended load?
  3. Can the side grip be reached while the bag is fully packed?
