A counterpart reference names the actual part and the actual assembly or other object under discussion. Ask which sources identify both sides and which reference describes their proposed relationship. A mounting-hole appearance, outlet shape or curve in a concept image does not establish the relationship or supply a fit decision.
Keep current issues with both identities. If a member or assembly changes independently, retain the prior correspondence and ask what must be answered again. A general catalogue family can help organize browsing, but it does not establish a shared application. Record the subject of the question so the next reader knows why a particular source is being requested.
Use replacement scope only after the previous and proposed identities are separately readable. The dealer folio unfolds source sheets without assembling a part or showing an installation sequence. Its purpose is to keep identity, source and open question together. Actual replaceability and use decisions belong to responsible parties with the real information.

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
