STRIA / MATERIAL ROOM / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Packing record

Link the proposed grouping to actual supplied objects.

A packing conversation should identify the object and proposed grouping before discussing an image of a package. Keep individual specimen identity, finish reference and the proposed batch relation in view. If several items are grouped together, ask the provider which record describes that grouping and which item references it includes. An appearance study does not establish an appropriate protection or transport method.

A clear note separates the visual face question from the shipment question. Record whether the discussion concerns a sample, a proposed supplied item or a group of objects, and ask for the actual source that describes it. Do not use the local discussion count as an order quantity, package count or stock statement. It only indicates how many records are being considered in the demonstration.

Before preparing the brief, connect packing questions with the current sample and revision. A changed finish, edge or specimen may require the provider to review the related grouping. The blank worksheet leaves all shipping and protection values unanswered. The responsible supplier and appropriate project parties must provide applicable information; this page does not select or certify packaging.
