FIELD NOTES08 / REPEAT HANDOVER

“Same again” still needs a reference.

A repeat-order discussion is clearer when the current packet names what is unchanged and what still requires confirmation.

Find the agreed baseline.

Start with the actual prior reference set, if you are authorized to use it. Identify the drawing revision, related model, material record, finish references and inspection agreement relevant to that order. A familiar part name alone is not a reliable description of the scope.

The local template cannot retrieve earlier orders or establish what was previously accepted. It has no account, order database or retained history. You supply the references and keep their status clear.

Ask what changed.

Design reference

Is the current drawing revision the same as the prior one? If not, describe the change record.

Sample reference

Does the sample still represent the intended scope? Is it used only for a limited discussion?

Evidence request

Has the required inspection record, review condition or reporting format changed?

Commercial discussion

Quantity, schedule, packaging and terms belong in the actual supplier conversation; no commitments are calculated here.

Keep uncertainty visible.

If the old drawing or agreement cannot be located, say that the baseline is unconfirmed. A useful packet can contain an explicit request to recover the reference rather than an unsupported declaration that nothing changed.

This is not a reorder button. Exporting the local packet does not place an order, reserve capacity or authorize production.

Start in repeat-review mode.

On the evidence desk, choose “Repeat-order review” and enter the relevant source notes. The same open-question checks apply; a familiar part does not skip them.
