Follow a real sequence
Begin a chapter, open an internal link, return, add a highlight and move to another book. Repeat the route on each selected concept. A page-turn control can be convenient while a return path is confusing; note both instead of treating one interaction as the whole experience.
Test with the intended reader
Ask a reader to perform the sequence without coaching. Record where they pause and which labels they expect to see. Include a person who uses larger type. The website itself supports keyboard access, but that does not establish assistive features on any fictional device.
Recover after an interruption
Interrupt the sequence in a safe sample setting and return later. Identify what was preserved: location, type setting, marks or open document. Record uncertainty if a feature is only described. A claimed automatic recovery needs a repeatable demonstration before procurement.
A practical sample set
- 01
Footnote round trip
- 02
Text-size change mid-chapter
- 03
Book switch and return
- 04
Restart and resume observation
Which reading settings and positions must survive an interruption?
Record it as unresolved. A future sample or document should provide the answer before a purchasing decision.
