BAYFORM / STORAGE / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Quantity language

Count records without implying an order quantity.

Quantity language should state what is being counted and why. A whole bay, individual bin and tray are separate identities, so a count of selected dossiers is not a commercial quantity or an installed set. Ask which unit the actual provider uses and which source explains the proposed scope.

Keep sample requests, proposed supplied quantities and discussion counts separate. A record describing a whole assembly may include a different scope from an individual component reference. Do not add them together without naming the relevant units and source relationship. Missing quantity context should remain blank rather than being filled from the visual number of shelves or compartments.

Before taking a brief to a provider, connect each quantity question with its actual item and current source. The register preserves one to three discussion identities only. It supplies no price, MOQ, stock, package count or delivery promise. Use the blank worksheets for actual commercial information outside this fictional collection.

Keep these fields together

  • Actual item
  • Quantity purpose
  • Applicable unit
  • Provider source
  • Unresolved scope

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
