BAYFORM / STORAGE / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Change history

Preserve the old relationship when the proposal changes.

Change history connects a previous item or scope with the proposed difference. Record which identity changed, which source issue represents it and which related record may be affected. A whole-bay name can stay the same while the proposed assembly scope changes. A tray appearance can stay familiar while its subdivision question changes.

Retain earlier references with their dates and subjects. They can explain the conversation without answering the current proposal. The register keeps source states per product: changing the selected fictional issue makes its noted relation stale while leaving the other identities untouched. This local state is an illustration of record continuity, not evidence of a real source review.

Before preparing a document set, list the specific correspondence that needs another answer and the responsible source. Avoid silently replacing an old label with a new picture. The blank change worksheet records prior context and proposed difference without deciding whether an actual configuration may be supplied, installed or used.

Keep these fields together

  • Previous proposal
  • New difference
  • Affected identity
  • Source history
  • Unanswered relation

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
