BAYFORM / STORAGE / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Location context

A record location is different from a physical placement.

Location context identifies the actual subject of a placement question and the source that can describe it. The position of a card in a website mosaic is only a reading arrangement. It has no relationship to a floor plan, aisle or storage position. Name the real context before asking whether a source applies.

Keep object identity, proposed location and source issue in separate fields. A location source may have a scope that the item record does not describe. Ask who can supply the current information and who is responsible for reviewing the correspondence. If either proposal changes, list the relationships that need another answer rather than retaining a broad approved label.

The bay register offers no site coordinates, assembly details or installation procedure. Use it to organize questions, then take the blank records to the actual responsible parties. A warm architectural image supplies a fictional display setting only. It does not establish environmental suitability, accessibility, anchoring, loading or an accepted storage arrangement.

Keep these fields together

  • Actual object
  • Proposed context
  • Context source
  • Responsible reviewer
  • Relation to reopen

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
