SECTION / SYSTEMS / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Test scope

Record what a source covers before interpreting its label.

A test-related source needs its subject, issuer or responsible source, issue date and stated scope. Ask whether it refers to a component, a particular configuration or another defined subject. A file title or badge alone should not stand in for those details. This fictional collection has no test results, certificates or measured performance to present.

Keep the relationship between a proposed item and a supplied source explicit. If the source concerns another issue or configuration, record the difference and ask the provider whether it applies. Do not copy a result from a related-looking component. The purpose of the register is to make the applicability question visible before it becomes a public or project claim.

When a drawing or proposed arrangement changes, identify any evidence relationship that requires another review. Ask the responsible provider and relevant project reviewer for the actual applicable sources. The layer study and blank worksheet organize source questions; they neither interpret a standard nor confirm compliance, performance or suitability.

Keep these fields together

  • Source identity
  • Subject/configuration
  • Date and issue
  • Stated scope
  • Applicability question

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
