REVISION

A revision to a grade reaches every size.

A grade revision changes every size in the range, and the stock already cut to the old grade is still in the warehouse. That is why the log matters more here than in most categories.

Why the sizes column belongs on the log.

Because a partial revision produces a range whose sizes no longer step evenly. A customer moving from M to L finds the gap different from the one between S and M, and the chart no longer describes the range.

The habit worth copying.

Recording whether old stock may be shipped. Without it, two grades are sold as one size, and the complaint is about fit rather than about the revision.
