FRAME / FICTIONAL EXAMPLE
Metal frame
A thin wire front with adjustable nose pads and a sprung hinge. Metal is stronger per gram and does not take a bend to the face.

How it is made.
The front is stamped and the rims are formed, then the joints are welded and the whole frame is plated. The nose pads are the fitting adjustment, because the front itself cannot be bent.

Every value above is an illustrative example for a fictional range. It is not a quotation, a specification or a measurement of any real frame.
What a photograph cannot show.
Whether it fits. A frame is chosen against a face measurement, and the same frame looks identical on a face it suits and on one it does not.
What it cannot show either.
Whether the material takes an adjustment. Acetate can be heated and bent to a face and will hold; the same adjustment on a metal front is a permanent deformation.
