VACORA / REFERENCE ROOM / PROCUREMENT FIELD NOTE

Whole-object identity

Name the proposal before reading its details.

A whole-object record describes the actual proposed machine, not just its product family. Ask for the identifier used by the provider, the current issue and the scope represented by the source. A catalogue heading, photograph label and proposal reference can serve different purposes. Keep each one named rather than assuming they are interchangeable.

The vacuum concept has attachment questions distinct from the washer’s hose and lance. The air-mover housing raises its own whole-unit source question. Visible forms help locate those discussions but supply no measured attributes. Ask which current reference represents the complete proposal and which documents cover members separately.

Carry the same identifier into counterpart, accessory and issue notes. Preserve an earlier proposal with its original scope when a revision arrives. The reference room can align these reading cards without changing identity. A responsible current source, rather than a similar appearance, is the next useful anchor for the conversation.

Use the blank source worksheet to record actual information from the responsible provider. Fields are intentionally empty; the fictional collection does not supply a decision, current document or real project record.
