Note 01
Daylight inspection
Review the object when it is unlit. Study its scale against the planting and wall, the finish under natural light, and the places that collect dirt or water. A daytime walk is also a chance to identify service and access conflicts.
Record the planned viewing positions. Those are useful references for the later mock-up, especially where the land changes level or a seated view looks into a low aperture.
Note 02
Dusk arrival
Observe the approach as ambient conditions change. The arrival route, the door and a place to pause may compete for attention. Use a physical review to decide which parts need emphasis and which can stay background.
Do not treat the concept image as a measured scene or infer a colour-temperature recommendation from its warm appearance. Review the actual source, surrounding materials and project requirements.
Note 03
Late-night quiet
Ask what is still being used and what can be reduced or switched off. Keep safety, accessibility, local requirements and relevant ecological considerations in the decision with the project team.
Before specifying controls, confirm the actual driver and protocol, dimming behaviour, switching arrangement and commissioning responsibility. VELT’s late-night selection is a note prompt; it sends no command to equipment.
