09 / DIMENSION GUIDE

Measure the use.
Then the object.

The demo uses Compact and Generous as concept labels. They do not map to breeds, body weights or a promise that an animal will fit.

WHAT TO RECORD

Make the measurement method repeatable.

01

Product state

Record whether the product is assembled, filled, compressed or relaxed. The same object can measure differently when its condition changes.

02

Measurement points

Use consistent points and units. Record the narrowest usable carrier envelope and the clear cushion area rather than assuming wall-to-wall external dimensions.

03

Tolerance agreement

Ask the supplier to propose tolerances and inspection methods appropriate to the construction. No tolerance is certified or pre-approved in this demo.

A USEFUL CAUTION

A size chart cannot establish suitability.

Animal behavior, body dimensions, intended use and supervision context can all affect whether a product is appropriate. This site does not collect those details or make a recommendation. Seek suitable product and animal-care expertise for the real use case.

Carrier transport requirements are context-specific. An illustrative internal envelope does not establish airline permission, load capacity or ventilation adequacy. Keep those questions explicit in the sampling scope.

NEXT, MAKE IT SPECIFIC

Keep dimensions with the decision.

Choose a reference size for each product in the composer. Its local brief retains both outer and usable concept dimensions.
