PET GOODS / FICTIONAL RANGE

A pet good is decided by what it survives in a home.

NEST & NOMAD is a fictional pet-goods range covering bolstered beds, loose cushions and weighted bowls. The site is organised around use rather than the catalogue: a bed is decided by the rim that gets leaned on, and every one of them is settled before the order.

A bolstered pet bed, a loose quilted cushion, a weighted ceramic bowl in a clay stand and a folded travel mat on a benchtop.
Original 3D render · fictional appearance concept

Three parts, three ways a pet good fails.

Each part fails somewhere a photograph does not show, and each failure is decided before the order.

What a size cannot decide.

Four things that belong to the use rather than to the label.

The rim
Because an animal leans against the wall, not the floor
The loft
Because fill either recovers after washing or it does not
The quilt
Because fill migrates wherever it is not held
The wash
Because a pet good is washed repeatedly, and that is when it fails
