The sample
needs a record.

A receiving check ties a physical sample to the conversation that requested it. This generic checklist is not a quality standard or an acceptance specification.

01

Identify before comparing

Record the sender’s sample identifier, frame model, frame revision and component revision. Photograph the labels and keep supplied documents with the same record.

If the labels differ from the brief, stop the comparison and ask the supplier to reconcile them. Do not silently rename the sample.

02

Separate the components

Check how the supplier identifies pairs, handed parts and loose items. Record missing information without attempting unapproved disassembly.

The sample tray image is illustrative. Actual packaging, quantity and handling instructions must come from the supplier.

03

Log the unanswered items

Use a distinct line for each issue, with an owner and next evidence request. Keep visual observations separate from measured data.

Acknowledge receipt only through your normal communication process. This website does not contact the supplier.
