A clear line from the back to the floor. Rail uses an open slatted seat and a spare frame to give the setting a light, graphic rhythm. The material and assembly remain questions for the physical sample.
Fictional concept. All dimensions are illustrative and must be replaced by actual supplier-approved drawings. No tested performance, capacity or structural safety is asserted.

01 / DEVELOPMENT NOTE
Read the whole silhouette
The chair is presented as a single object with an angled back and open seat. Before a development sample, identify the overall width and depth separately from the seat surface, back angle and floor contacts. The illustrated envelope is a conversation starter, not a production drawing. An apparently slim leg does not establish weight, load, stackability or stability.
The physical review should include the actual chair beside the intended table. Keep the table underside and chair movement observable. A matching colour does not establish a compatible pair, and a photo cannot establish seating comfort or suitability for a particular user.
02 / DEVELOPMENT NOTE
Follow the finish around the edge
A retained flat chip provides a colour reference; it does not show how the finish travels around a bend, slat edge or joint. Add a frame-junction study when those details matter to the procurement decision. Record the sample ID, substrate, preparation and finish revision with the supplier.
Ask separately about the floor-contact part and its replacement. The dark foot shown in a concept image cannot substantiate non-marking behaviour, slip resistance or compatibility with a project floor. A real care instruction must identify the actual finish and actual component.
03 / DEVELOPMENT NOTE
A sample before a schedule
Start with a finish set when the open question is appearance. Move to a complete chair when the question involves geometry, assembly or pairing. A complete chair sample still does not stand in for applicable product assessment or market documentation.
The local setting tool can place Rail into an illustrative group and carry an example quantity into the procurement brief. It does not approve occupancy or circulation. The receiving project team must establish the measured layout and responsibility for the real product.
Can Rail be stacked?
No stacking ability, stack count or handling method is asserted. Request the actual product instructions and evaluate the real sample.
Is this a certified contract chair?
No certification or test result is claimed. Define applicable product and market requirements with qualified reviewers and the actual supplier.
RETAIN THE PHYSICAL REFERENCE
Choose the question. Then the sample.
A chip, a junction and a complete product answer different questions. Keep the actual sample ID and revision attached to the eventual supplier record.
