STRUCTURE / PRINT / SERVICE
The fictional company story, structure and artwork roles, and sample review approach behind Fold & Field.
Fold & Field Packaging Studio — fictional DEMO company
Fold & Field is an original fictional packaging development studio built around the small decisions that shape a food service moment. Its imagined story began in 2020 with a menu planner and a paper-structure designer working on how a meal moves from counter to table. The studio treats the pack as a sequence: filling, closing, carrying, opening and clearing. A broad print panel matters, but the lid still has to make sense in the hand.
The collection follows three everyday applications: a meal bowl, a folded deli carton and a bakery window box. Each format gives the buyer a specific starting point for fit, artwork and sampling. In the studio model, the structure lead records the internal dimensions and opening direction, the artwork coordinator checks the print surface and revision, and the sample desk keeps the physical references and review comments together. These roles describe a development approach, not a verified factory or supplier network.
A useful sample answers a defined question. An unprinted mock-up can explore folding and fit; a print proof can explore ink coverage and a color reference; a food trial can explore the actual filling and service conditions. Those reviews do not replace destination-market evidence. Food-contact suitability, barrier behavior, window materials and disposal statements require product-specific documentation and agreed checks. This fictional studio makes no certification, production-capacity, delivery or environmental claim. Its aim is to make the conversation around a real sample more precise.

THREE FICTIONAL DEVELOPMENT ROLES
Owns the reference dimensions, fold direction, lid fit and assembly observations.
Aligns the print panel, artwork revision, coverage and physical color reference.
Separates plain mock-up, print proof and food-trial questions, then records what remains open.
SAMPLE CHECKPOINTS / EVIDENCE TO REQUEST
Review the internal space, fold sequence, closure engagement and stacking with the intended service setup.
Confirm the same structural revision is used for panel boundaries, folds and artwork registration.
Compare a physical print reference under agreed viewing conditions; a screen preview is not ink approval.
Request material and food-contact evidence for the intended product, food and destination market.

Record the food, fill state, holding time and handling route.
Check dimensions, folds, closure and presentation with a physical sample.
Agree the dieline revision, print areas, ink plan and physical color reference.
Record observations and request relevant market evidence before a production decision.
