CONFERRO / hardware concept edition
Meeting hardware procurement FAQ
Questions that organize a real supplier conversation. These answers describe scope boundaries, not verified performance or professional approvals.
What separates BYOD from a dedicated room host?
A visiting laptop and a fixed room computer have different cable, configuration and operator responsibilities. Name the host and physical device path before selecting a camera or audio concept.
Does USB-C mean one cable will do everything?
No. Connector shape does not establish video, audio, data, power or display behavior. This demo makes no single-cable or universal-host claim. Verify the nominated configuration on physical samples.
Is a meeting platform certified?
No platform certification, vendor partnership or approved integration is claimed. A real host, operating image and application require a separate compatibility review with appropriate evidence.
How should mute and capture be reviewed?
Observe the physical control and the host state independently on the nominated configuration. Review reconnect and power recovery. This demonstration does not record speech, video, attendee identities or room telemetry.
What belongs in a rollout pack?
Freeze the approved sample revision, cable identification, spare contents and operator handoff. Installation, documentation, MOQ, dates and commercial terms remain to be confirmed outside the demo.
A room needs a physical-path record.
