PRODUCT / FICTIONAL EXAMPLE
Watering can
A two-litre can in zinc with a brass rose. It is carried full and put down wet, so weight and balance decide it rather than capacity.

How it is made.
The body is pressed and seamed, the spout is welded and the rose is threaded on. The handle position is the design: it decides where the weight sits in the hand when the can is full.

Every value above is an illustrative example for a fictional range. It is not a quotation, a capability statement or a measurement of any real product.
Why the handle position is the specification.
Because a full can is carried at arm's length. A handle placed for appearance puts the weight where the wrist has to hold it, and a full can is then uncomfortable at exactly the moment it is used.
What a photograph cannot show.
How it pours. A rose that delivers unevenly or a spout that dribbles is a daily annoyance, and neither is visible in a picture of a can standing still.
